COOKIE POLICY

The evspots.ro website uses cookies. The information presented below informs you about the role, placement, use and administration of “cookies” within the evspots.ro website.

What are Cookies?

A cookie (a term also known as “HTTP cookie”, “browser cookie” or “cookie”) is a small file stored on the computer, telephone or other terminal equipment of an internet user. The cookie is installed through a request issued by a web server to a browser (e.g. Explorer, Chrome) and does not contain software programs, viruses or spyware.

A cookie cannot access or store the information on the user’s hard drive; it usually does not specifically identify users but only records characteristics of their internet sessions. In this way, it ensures Users a better browsing and interaction experience in the online environment.

Cookies and similar technologies may collect or generate information such as the IP address, browser/device identifiers, session IDs, preferences, pages accessed, interactions with the site, or conversion events. Some of this information may constitute personal data when it allows the direct or indirect identification of the user, or when it is combined with other information held by EV SPOTS or by third-party providers.

Why do we use Cookies?

Cookie files allow the recognition of Users’ terminals and the appropriate and relevant display of the web page, adapted to each User’s preferences, for each browsing session.

Cookies have the role of ensuring a personalized, efficient and secure web browsing experience and of offering Users customized services, according to the online behaviour displayed in the Application.

On the basis of cookies, the Administrator can manage the following aspects:

What types of cookies does evspots.ro use?

Depending on the storage duration, two types of cookies are used:

Session cookies – these are stored temporarily in the cookie folder of the web browser so that it remembers them until the user leaves the respective website or closes the browser window (e.g. at the moment of logging in/out of a webmail account or social networks).

Persistent cookies – these are stored on the hard drive of a computer or device (and generally depend on the pre-set lifespan of the cookie). Persistent cookies also include those placed by a website other than the one the user is visiting at the respective moment – known as ‘third party cookies’. These third parties may also place cookies through the site, and they are called “third party cookies” because they are not placed by the owner of the respective website. Third-party providers must also comply with the legislation in force and with the privacy policies of the site owner.

How are cookies used by the Administrator?

The law provides that cookies may be stored on the User’s device in the event that they are strictly necessary for the operation of this site. For all other types of cookies, your permission is requested.

This site uses different types of cookies. Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages.

Do Cookies contain personal data?

Cookies do not require personal information in order to be used and do not personally identify internet users. Personal data collected through the use of Cookies is encrypted in a way that makes access to it impossible.

However, advertising cookies and pixels may collect information about the user’s interactions with the site and may allow the measurement of conversions, the creation of audiences, the limitation of the frequency of advertisement display, and the display of relevant advertising content. These technologies may involve the processing of online identifiers and the transmission of information to third-party providers, in accordance with their policies. These cookies are used only on the basis of the user’s consent.

Partners, purpose and lifespan of cookies

The cookie partners on the evspots.ro website are those listed below, but they may change over time and will be listed at the moment of activation:

The purpose of using cookies – as described above and in the notice for the use of cookies.

Upon first accessing the site, the user can accept all cookies, can reject cookies that are not strictly necessary, or can configure preferences by category. Analytics, marketing, advertising, remarketing, social media cookies and other similar technologies that are not strictly necessary will not be placed before consent is expressed.

The user can modify or withdraw their consent at any time, by accessing the “Cookie Settings” panel available on the site. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

The lifespan of cookies is variable, ranging from the duration of each session for which the cookie is generated (for session cookies, e.g. querying the acceptance of cookies in the browser) and up to 2 years (e.g. a cookie that identifies the type of device the user is using at the moment of accessing the site, or for collecting the number of visits to the site for a unique user, used by Analytics). All cookies will be deleted automatically upon the expiry of the validity period.

Deleting Cookies

The applications used for accessing web pages allow cookies to be saved on the user’s terminal by default. There is, however, the possibility of changing the settings so that the automatic installation of cookies is blocked, with the note that limiting the use of basic cookies may affect the functionality of the web page.

The importance of cookies for the Internet

Cookies are representative of the efficient functioning of the internet, helping to generate content adapted to the user’s displayed interests. Refusing or blocking cookies may, in some cases, lead to a limitation of the experience on the site or the impossibility of using the site.

Refusing to accept cookies does not mean that you will no longer receive/see online advertising, but only that the web pages you are on will no longer offer you personalized content.

Security and confidentiality

Cookies do not collect personal data and are not viruses.

Nevertheless, Spyware-type programs may use the data to the user’s detriment, since information relating to browsing preferences and history is stored. Anti-spyware applications have the role of flagging cookies for deletion within anti-virus/anti-spyware scanning procedures.

In general, browsers have integrated privacy settings that offer different levels of cookie acceptance (e.g. validity period, automatic deletion at the end of a web session).

Recommendations for safe and responsible browsing based on cookies

All current browsers offer the possibility of changing cookie settings. These settings are found in the “options” or in the “preferences” menu of your browser.

To understand these settings, the following information may be useful; or you can use the “help” option of the browser for more details.
